Carol Ashley is an designer and illustrator to some dreadful projects, including her first picture book, Scarum Fair (Boyds Smith Press), an animated short, The Tales of Perdita, and a whole slew of other fine messes.
In the daytime she can be found sitting in the dark, behind a computer, where she tinkers away on obscure little films like Over The Hedge, Madagascar and Flushed Away. It is believed that she also did something on Stuart Little, The Hollowman and The Matrix, but few really know.
In the wee hours, Carol works in a scary little place in a spooky part of town. Her studio dwells in a tall building, near the elevator shaft where bats sleep and cats meow.
Many years ago, Carol was a school girl wearing knee socks and cowboy boots.
Somehow, some way, she managed to graduate with a BFA in Animation, Cal Arts
and MFA in Film and Art, Cal Arts.
She is pleased to announce that her work is being shown at The Alcove Gallery in Atlanta, GA and is a member of the Springs Arts Collective, showing several times a year in the Downtown LA Art Walk.
